    • Background

    Tony is a senior consultant who has worked for over 20 years in the areas of Leadership and Team Development, and over the last 10 years in the organisational context of Culture Change. He has significant international experience, having worked across Africa, the Middle East and Asia in the delivery of Leadership, Team Development and Culture Change Programmes. He has worked extensively in the Not for Profit and Non Government sector, and has held Board positions in the same.

    Industries range from IT, Finance, Public Sector, to Manufacturing, Mining and Utilities. He has the unique ability to earn the trust and confidence of a group in a very short time, and enjoys understanding the challenges people face, and how he can support them in creating the change in outcomes they want. He has extensive experience in experiential learning, and is highly skilled in creating metaphors for work through problem solving activities, in order for people to learn quickly and meaningfully.

    The issues we face today in organisations and globally will require unprecedented leadership and unprecedented levels of co-operation concurrently, to mobilise communities and organisations.

    A New Paradigm for the Future

    To make progress on our most significant issues, we need a new paradigm—one that inspires us to:

  • Empower each other to take responsibility and accountability at all levels of the organisation
  • Shift our focus from problem-centric to solution-centric (positive change)
  • Make progress on the toughest issues and challenges

  • Develop systems intelligence.

    • As the industrial age wanes, new possibilities emerge to create a different paradigm of leadership. I propose a new paradigm that draws from many sources and builds on them in an integrative way.

    The mechanistic, industrial paradigm has been in existence since the latter part of the 18th century and continues to shape society and modern organisations. It is a long, slow journey, yet incredibly worthwhile.
