About

Benny enjoys working with leaders and teams at all levels. Increasingly leaders need to attend to complex and rapidly changing external and internal dynamics. Benny’s passion for people and his capability around systems leadership help him support clients to be more adaptive and confident in embracing change.

Great leadership is highly relational. Benny enjoys helping clients embed positive and productive relationships between leaders and within teams, cultures, and systems.

Benny’s personal approach combines honesty, directness, compassion and humour in helping leaders and teams bring out the best in each other and move to a place of high collective performance. Benny’s programs and sessions seek to inspire the mind, touch the heart, and result in tangible action towards aligned change.

Experience

Benny has spent more than twenty years in human development and learning innovation. In that time, he has held senior, executive and Board leadership roles. Benny was the founding CEO of the School for Social Entrepreneurs, supporting early-stage innovators. He then moved into working with government agencies in leadership development and facilitating complex systems-change initiatives.

His post-graduate study in strategic foresight and long-range futures sparked a decade-plus quest to understand how to best align cultures and systems to support lasting strategic change.

Benny’s work has increasingly taken him beyond traditional organisational boundaries and structures, to facilitate systems-change programs in a range of high-stakes contexts. He has recently been working in communities experiencing the effects of natural disasters (bushfire, flood, and drought) and preparing adaptive responses to climate change.

His early experience in leading wilderness-based expeditions in challenging contexts helped him develop a tenacity, resilience, and compassion for working with people and leading change.

Benny’s consulting work has taken him as far afield as the Philippines, Rwanda, Singapore, United Kingdom and the USA. He has worked extensively in rural, regional and remote Australia, and is passionate about responding adaptively to rapidly changing contexts.
